Position Description:
The Director of Application Development provides leadership to project teams and delivers technology solutions that meet or exceed customer’s business challenges. Requires advanced technical and business knowledge in software development life cycle, quality assurance, project management and other related disciplines/processes. This role requires deep experience in Web Development especially in the areas of web content management and ecommerce. The Director of Application Development must be able to both design and implement custom solutions as well as configure/integrate/implement 3rd party products. This role will require extensive client engagement through the pre-sales and implementation phases. This role must actively participate in pre-sales in defining solutions for RFP responses and proposals. In addition, this role will serve as the primary point of contact from project/program inception to delivery. This individual will manage the development methodology, monitor and control the quality of the deliverable, and manage project completion through customer acceptance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to delivery team. Team size could range from approx 80-150 people in North America and India.
- Define and implement best practices and methodologies that lead to successful delivery
- Plan project delivery by supervising Project Managers on planning project delivery.
- Proactively manage delivery by monitoring activities of project team.
- Engage with Functional team (Business Analysts) to understand project needs and enable project team to execute functional specifications.
- Supervise and in certain situations lead architecture definition phase.
- Engage with sales team in the pre-sales phase to architect solutions and estimate work that would lead to winning proposals.
- Will manage project managers and architects to ensure the delivery of projects is successful.
- Engage with clients and manage delivery expectations.
Performance Profile
- Successfully plan projects with Project managers. Work with PMs to design effective project plans.
- Manage PMs and architects, enable and guide them to be successful.
- Review Project plans, architecture and deliverables with PMs, Architects and delivery team.
- Support sales team on proposals and define solutions that will help win business.
- Present thought leadership to customers and position eDynamic as a technology leader.
- Review and at times, define solution architecture with team of architects.
- Lead team to adopt new technologies and products. Adopt CMS, eCommerce and Mobile technologies.
- Identify and roll-out best practice delivery methodologies that work for a small global company like eDynamic. These include development and QA methodologies.
- Hire an effective team who perform at eDynamic.
- Be able to multi-task and manage engagements effectively.
Qualification Required:
- Must have 10-15 years of experience
- Must have strong IT consulting experience.
- Must have technical background with Microsoft technologies (.NET)
- Should have led projects as large as $5 mn.
- Should have strong digital experience - web, CMS and eComm experience.
Travel:
50% travel flexibility - more or less depending on project; candidate should be comfortable with travel and overtime as client commitment requires.

Position Description:
This Account Manager will be responsible to drive new business in the existing customer base and for the planning, management and implementation of all business development activities within accounts.
